My Fall season was so busy, I wasn’t able to coordinate a time for this family, but I am so glad they waited for me to schedule their Family Maternity session in the Spring! You may not believe it, but these images were taken just a few days after an incredible snow storm in San Antonio. We got around 5 inches of snow and temperatures were at record lows (think 15 degrees)! But within a few days, it was Spring-like again. What perfect timing for this family session.
I just adore this lifestyle session with this sweet family of 6…with one on the way! They had been gifted a certificate for a family photo session with me as a Christmas gift… and what a great gift it was! The kids were all so sweet and had so much energy, which helped set the stage for a great lifestyle session. We just went with where the mood took us – there was no stress and no agenda, just capturing organic moments of the family as they are. ❤️
We chose this park hoping for the glow of the golden sun through the trees and on the long wispy grasses, but Mother Nature had other plans. The weather was pleasant, but overcast for most of the evening. Instead of the sun kissed grasses, we got some moody clouds in the sky and it was beautiful in a whole different way. I was content embracing the energy of the boys and letting them guide the session to capture the true essence of the Perez family in this stage of their life. I love how these images tell their story.
It is such a joy to meet new families and explore beautiful spaces during lifestyle family sessions. These adorable kiddos were so full of energy and we had so much fun. The sunlight on the grass that day was just so gorgeous! It was a perfect Fall family session.
I have to admit, I LOVE when clients choose urban locations! This beautiful warehouse background has sadly been destroyed by graffiti and since painted over with an ugly flat gray. It makes me so sad, but I cherish the photos I have done there over the years. Luckily the bridge is still an option. ❤️
