Michelle’s Senior Session at the Pearl Brewery was so much fun! The Pearl is a very popular place for senior portraits because of its versatility. There are so many options for modern backdrops. There is also a good variety of landscaping and of course, the beautiful San Antonio river. Make your session unique by bringing a few outfit changes with a variety of colors and styles that reflect your style and personality.

What do I wear for my senior session? It’s such a common question and this post has some great tips to plan what to wear for your senior session! I often tell boys to plan a casual outfit, a dressier outfit and something that speaks to their interests or the college they plan to attend. Accessories like a hat can be a great prop for photos because you can wear it, hold it, or set it down next to you. Riley chose to skip the dressy option, but instead just bring his college t-shirt and a flag. I want your session to be a reflection of your personality, so you feel comfortable!
I love how this job connects me with new people and old friends as well. Ryan is the daughter of one of my high school classmates. It was so fun to meet her and see her dad and his wife too. Ryan is not only drop-dead gorgeous, but an incredible scholar and athlete too. She is headed to the A&M Engineering program next year and her high school volley ball team recently won the state championship!
This was one of those sessions where all the stars aligned – the most dreamy light, a hill of sunflowers and the real star…Audrey! Senior sessions can be done at any time of year. In fact, Audrey didn’t have time to do the session before she graduated, so we met in June, just after the chaos of graduation had settled. Venues are typically less crowded in summer and also the time was right for the beautiful sunflowers. So if you’re finding life to be too busy your senior year, consider scheduling your session just after you graduate!
Congrats to Braden, who is off to play football at Oklahoma State University! Meeting mature, respectful, hardworking young adults like him is such a great perk my job.
